The 6^th of March, Independence Day of the republic of Ghana. It’s a throwback to when the country got its freedom from the British colonial rule.

Most of the videos on national television will take us back to 1957 when Kwame Nkrumah and his cohorts stood up in their old school vehicles and waved at thousands of jubilant “new Ghanaians”.

In the major cities, there will be a host of events including parades, beach hang outs, family day out and other activities

But, why don’t we try something different. Why don’t we take it back to the 50’s, 60’s and get a feel of all those classic cars during the independence era?

On the 6^th of March, the organizers of Accra auto show is putting up the “classic car cruise “at the aviation social center – Accra. The engines roll in at 1 pm.

Participating groups in Mercedes-Benz club – Ghana, Clutch and Shift and Bikers Forum – Ghana.
